Recently, I had the privilege of participating in a prayer meeting, where it became clear that God’s presence had saturated the room.

At one point the moderator encouraged those present to meditate on the Scriptures and pray in accordance with what was being read aloud. As God’s word was proclaimed, I began to reflect on my own journey with the Lord, considering who I was as a teenager and where I am today. During that time, I remembered the hurt I had experienced growing up—the lack of love even with family and friends, the losses, the failures, and the inadequacies I encountered in my life. But I also found myself celebrating the breakthroughs and all that God has done to bring me where I am today.

In those moments, the Holy Spirit began to speak concerning His powerful love, and the profound presence of God captivated my thoughts. Tears began to roll down my face uncontrollably, and I was compelled to pray corporately. Throughout the prayer, God declared to and through me that the work He began will be completed regardless of any circumstance—a prayer that aligns with Philippians 1:6, which states, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

In light of this encounter in the presence of God, my encouragement to everyone is simply to hold on to God’s promises. If you meditate on His words and spend some intimate time in His presence, I can assure you that it will be a blessing. Amen
