A Forerunner Story: Kailey Dingle

I have grown up in the church my whole life, my mom being the youth paster and my aunt being the children’s pastor. I’ve learned through them a lot about what being a leader means and the sacrifice it takes. But in the Forerunner Experience, I’ve grown even deeper in my walk with God, and it’s given me a different perspective on who God really is. I’m excited to extend my journey into leadership one day and fulfill God’s purpose for my life.

God truly spoke to me through my studies over the last several weeks. In church, I’ve always heard about what it means to be a Christian, but through Forerunner, I’ve developed an even deeper understanding. It talked a lot about sacrifice, and it made me see how we sometimes misinterpret the true biblical Gospel. I feel that I have been able to see myself more clearly and better grasp the part I have to play. I know that I am called to be a missionary, and God has blessed me with many spiritual gifts. God is already giving me many opportunities to practice my calling and use my gifts for His glory. Through this experience, I have learned more about myself, and I am beginning to see the areas I’m good at and the places I still need more growth.

I also really loved how the online courses broke down each book of the Bible. I gained a deeper understanding of the Bible and what it means to us and our walk with God. It was a beautiful picture to see some of the people in the Scriptures, who we would consider forerunners for Christ. By reading these stories, I felt like I began to learn what it truly means to be a forerunner. I look at myself now and see a woman who wants to be that… I want to be so sold out for Christ. I want to be a forerunner!

In the last few weeks, we learned what it means to be Pentecostal. It was so interesting to read about some of our history, how all of this started, and what it all truly means. I’ve been Pentecostal my whole life and grew up in a Pentecostal Church of God, but I’ve never really heard the entire story of how it all came to be. It is pretty amazing to think of where we came from and where we are now… We are a global church with a global mission.

This has been an amazing journey for my spiritual walk with God. I’m so excited to see where God takes me next. I’m going to continue to apply all of the things I’ve learned here about what it means to be a Christian and a leader in the Pentecostal Church of God. I’m excited to continue to grow in my faith and in leadership. Thank you for this amazing opportunity to learn and grow.
