Halfway into this second-century PCG, we now turn the page into a new chapter of this divine story. This year, the Pentecostal Messenger has echoed the theme declared across our last four General Assemblies—ONE… STORY… WRITTEN… FOR ETERNAL IMPACT. In the first two issues, we reviewed what has taken place to date—the stories and testimonies already being written. Now, in this final installment, we celebrate what God has done among us this summer while looking ahead to what the Father is leading us toward in the days to come.
In June, ministers and leaders from around the world assembled in Phoenix, Arizona for our biennial General Assembly. It was a sacred moment. We witnessed a healthy, Spirit-led transition as we honored those concluding seasons of service while commissioning newly elected leaders for the work ahead.
In this issue, we reflect on what took place at General Assembly, but we have also included declarations of vision and pastoral challenges from our newly elected officials—Global Missions Director Karl Hargestam, General Secretary Kelly Lineberry, and General Bishop Virgil Kincaid—each united in their desire to witness a “Decade of Harvest” unlike anything we have seen.
September also marked a significant moment as individuals and churches worldwide participated in Impact Eternity Month, demonstrating what it looks like to live as “One Mission—One Movement.” The testimonies shared in these pages remind us that the Lord is still writing a story in and through us. While a new chapter has begun, the story ultimately remains the same. Together, may we continue to write one story... for Eternal Impact.
We are One Mission. We are One Movement. We are PCG.
