There is perhaps no better picture of this Movement than when we gather together at our biennial General Assembly. It is truly an image of one church in 6000+ locations. In June 2023, more than 1300 ministers, leaders, and teens streamed to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to “write the vision and make it plain” (Hab. 2:2). There, we sought to define our missional goals for a decade of harvest, we celebrated missional progress over the last two years, we experienced the largest Impact Bible Quiz tournament Summerfest has ever seen, we heard testimonies of God’s faithfulness to redeem the lost and hurting, and we encountered the presence of the Holy Spirit, who reminded us of the Noteworthy, the Now, and the Next.

It is our intention in this issue of the Pentecostal Messenger to highlight many of these moments from General Assembly and to also invite you into greater engagement with One Mission—One Movement. In fact, the center spread (pages 20 and 21) presents two specific ways in which you can personally “join the Movement.” But more than anything, as we’ve expressed in previous issues and will reiterate in the first article below, the end-goal is not to drive an organizational machine; it is to move the mission of Christ forward. The question is simply this: What role will you play in this divine narrative?

We are One Mission. We are One Movement. We are PCG.
