Pentecostal Church of God Chaplain Commission

With no seminary of its own, the PCG has been able to endorse Pentecostal seminary graduates from American Baptist, Assemblies of God, Azusa Pacific, Bethel, Fuller, George Fox, Grand Canyon, Howard U, Liberty U, ORU, Perkins, Regent U, Vanguard U, Wesleyan, and other seminaries into institutional ministries around the world. PCG chaplains have directed ministries in Desert Storm, the Grenada invasion, Naval Academy, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Forces of the Pacific, U.S. Consulates, Pentagon, Chaplain Resource Board, Naval War College, battleships, aircraft carriers, garrison units from South Korea to Iraq – Germany to Hawaii – Hong Kong to Africa – and Okinawa to the South Pacific Islands. PCGers have been included in the Distinguished Preacher Series of the Military Academies and have trained hundreds of active-duty military chaplains in annual professional development seminars sponsored by the Chiefs of Chaplains.

The Pentecostal Church of God has:

  • 21 Active Duty Chaplains

  • 18 Reservists

  • 10 Chaplain Candidates

  • 7 National Guardsmen

  • Three dozen prospects/seminarians

  • Two Veterans Administration (VA) Hospitals

  • 3 Civil Air Patrol Chaplains

Ours is the largest chaplaincy per capita of U.S. Protestant denominations.
