Pursuing Truth

"Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correcting, for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NET)

The Bible is the living, breathing Word of God. Its Truth should be the compass for our lives and the source of our identity.

The moment we come into relationship with Jesus, there is a common directive we often hear from our parents, pastors, and leaders: "Read your Bible." As Christians, we know that reading and studying the Word of God is vital for our journey with Christ. But, reading the Bible can be somewhat intimidating at times. There are concepts that can be difficult for us to grasp as 21st century Christians. We have questions like, "How do I study the Bible?" "Does what I'm reading even apply to my life right now?"

If you are struggling with these questions and how to read the Bible, know that you are not alone. Our passion at Empowered Women's Ministries is to EMPOWER you, ENCOURAGE you, and EQUIP you in your relationship with God and the calling He has on your life.

That is why, for 2021, we are initiating a project called, "Pursuing Truth." We want to read through the Bible in a year, together. We are using the App, "Read Scripture," created by The Bible Project. This App will guide us daily through reading the Bible in one year. It also includes short, fun videos introducing and explaining biblical concepts and the main themes of each book of the Bible.

If you do not have the ability to download the Read Scripture App but still wish to Pursue Truth with us this year, we will provide a downloadable file of each month's daily Scripture readings along with a Bible Project video for you to watch.

Let us relentlessly Pursue God and His Truth this year, gaining a deeper understanding of Him and a deeper love for Him. The more we seek Him, the more we find Him. The more we find Him, the more we love Him.
