To receive Minister's Credentials with the Pentecostal Church of God, the following three step process must be completed.
Step One: Application
Complete an Application with the appropriate supplemental forms. This application differs depending on your circumstances. New applicants must complete the Application for Minister's Credentials. Previous applicants must complete the Application for Reinstatement. Current Applicants desiring promotion must complete the Application for Promotion. The following forms can be downloaded here and must be included with your application:
* Background Investigation Consent Form
* Bankruptcy Questionnaire
* Felony Questionnaire
* Marriage Questionnaire (at least two substantiation documents must be
included per divorce/remarriage)
(These supplemental forms are not required if applying for promotion.)
Applications must be reviewed and signed by three pastoral references and delivered to the appropriate district. To find contact information for the district in which you live, please click here.
Step Two: Processing Fees
* Credential Fee - $75.00 for the first three months
* Background Check Fee - $25.00
These processing fees are required to begin the credentialing process and must be sent in the form of a check or money order with the application and supplemental forms. All checks must be made out to the Pentecostal Church of God (PC/G). Other fees required throughout the process are subject to change.
Step Three: Credential Levels
The Minister's Credentials are provided in three levels--Exhorter, License, and Ordination. Below are the requirements for each level.
Exhorter Credentials
* Basic Bible Truth
* General Constitution & Bylaws
* District Constitution & Bylaws
License Credentials
* Old Testament Survey I
* Old Testament Survey II
* New Testament Survey
* Basic Homiletics
* Basic Bible Truth (if not completed for Exhorter status)
* General Constitution & Bylaws (if not completed for Exhorter status)
(Not necessary with a B.A. in Biblical Studies or Pastoral Ministry.)
Ordination
* Teaching Techniques
* How to Prepare Bible Sermons
* What the Bible says about the Holy Spirit
* Prevision of History
* Developing the Leader Within
(Not necessary with a B.A. in Biblical Studies or Pastoral Ministry.)

Upon the completion of the application process, a date for an interview will be established with the district board. Upon their recommendation, your application will be forwarded to the Overseeing Leadership of the Pentecostal Church of God for final approval.
